Nancy Kissel, who admits to killing her banker husband in 2003, will today ask Hong Kong's highest court one last time to let her appeal a conviction for murder. She will argue that jurors who handed her a second conviction in 2011 might not have properly considered evidence of her mental condition when she struck Robert Kissel in the head with a lead ornament after sedating him with a milkshake laced with prescription drugs.
The inaugural Fashion Revolution Day will be held today to mark the first anniversary of the collapse of a Bangladeshi textile factory compound which killed 1,135 workers. The collapse of the eight-storey Rana Plaza drew attention to the poor pay and pressurised conditions of garment workers in developing countries making cheap "fast fashion" for Western brands. Campaigners hope to keep the question "who made your clothes?" in consumers' minds.
