Ambrose Lam San-keung, Law Society chairman, faces a no-confidence vote by members.

Law Society members vote on a no-confidence motion against their chairman, Ambrose Lam San-keung. Lam came under fire after he praised the mainland's white paper on "one country, two systems", which stated that judges should be patriotic. There has been intense lobbying among Hong Kong's 7,400 solicitors ahead of the vote, in particular in an effort to win proxy votes from those who cannot attend the extraordinary general meeting.

Members of the Democratic Party meet National People's Congress (NPC) deputy Priscilla Lau Pui-king to discuss political reform. The discussion comes one day before party legislators hold talks with liaison office director Zhang Xiaoming in the government headquarters at Tamar. That meeting will give Democrats a final chance to influence the decision of the NPC Standing Committee on the format for the 2017 chief executive election.
