The son of action star Jackie Chan was detained in Beijing over possession of drugs. Jaycee Chan was detained along with popular Taiwanese actor Ko Chen-tung. They were allegedly caught smoking marijuana at a foot massage parlour. Police later found 100 grams of the drug in a home reportedly belonging to Jackie Chan. The star said he was "furious and shocked' over the incident and apologised for not bringing his son up properly.

 

The Australian mining mogul and politician came under fire from the Chinese media following a rant in which he referred to Chinese as "mongrels" and "bastards". Palmer is in a dispute with Chinese firm Citic Pacific over a mining project in Western Australia.
