This government is too short-sighted to commit to any long-term plans. Handing out short-term measures is not enough to combat poverty (for example that HK$6,000 fiasco plus other nonsense). I would love to see a 10-year plan with a realistic target, to alleviate poverty.

Scrap those white elephant projects in West Kowloon to allow more money for poverty alleviation!

Laissez-faire is good up to a point but if you have no planning or vision you end up with corruption, monopolies, corporate thuggery etc and [a] massive gap between rich and poor.

4 years to eradicate something that has dogged societies since ... forever?

Trying is something the government is too lazy to even consider. It's quite sad that the Hong Kong government focuses its attention on other useless money-consuming projects that essentially make Hong Kong worse.
