Lil Tay, Logan Paul and their YouTube peers need to grow up and stop the madness
I am writing to express my views on how YouTube personalities negatively influence young people.
First, it was Jake Paul and his brother Logan Paul, who together have nearly 30 million subscribers on YouTube, and now Lil Tay. These YouTubers use crazy titles as clickbait and do irrational things to keep their audience engaged.
Teenagers relieve stress by watching the antics of these social media stars, such as Jake Paul’s Team 10 trashing their mansion and playing pranks. But these videos also set a bad moral example.
Did Lil Tay get her mum fired?
Lil Tay, a nine-year-old who uses foul language, including racial slurs, is really the red line for such YouTube madness. Since children today can access the internet easily on the phone, they might imitate her as an idol and a peer.
I hope this trend will stop and people will create something of value, instead of behaving irrationally for fame and fortune.
