Rare are success stories that begin with a single man and a few boxes. For Aeris Dynamics, these were enough to send it off on a journey to become Singapore’s premier cold chain packaging and logistics expert. Since its humble beginnings 16 years ago, the company has become the leading provider of temperature-controlled shipping packages for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other health care products such as vaccines and medicines.
With customers facing increased regulatory and cost pressures to ensure that their medicines are shipped correctly without compromising on product safety, Aeris introduces CharterPod, an innovative solution that uses recyclable Vacuum Insulated Panel (VIP) as the core insulation technology. The CharterPod is being trialled with very positive outcomes. Users like the pay-per-use features, which mean they do not need to worry about managing and disposing of inventory since it is a subscription service. Most importantly, customers have full assurance that their products are better protected by VIP technology, compared with styrofoam boxes.

The company is also developing a cloud-based service that not only tracks product temperature, location and time, but also predicts the temperature profiles ahead so that a more informed packaging decision can be made.
