There is zero margin for error when the requirement is zero-defect quality. For global leaders in semiconductor and automotive sensors – such as Texas Instruments, Infineon and Molex – this means relying on Rokko as a technology partner that delivers more than just defect-free products.

“We deliver on our commitment to clients who entrust us with the integrity of their products,” says group managing director Gary Lim. “This entails customer-centric service and continuous research and development [R&D]. We’re no giant, but some of the world’s biggest industry leaders bank on our expertise to deliver on the trust they place in us.”

Rokko has been providing precision engineering services to more than 100 clients in the semiconductor and automotive industries since 1992. For the past 25 years, it has grown to specialise in three segments: auto vision and robotics, advanced leadframe materials and its core precision engineering know-how. It now has four manufacturing and design facilities in Singapore and Malaysia, and a strong market presence in the Asean and China.

Behind Rokko’s patent-rich portfolio and multiple awards from various companies is intensive R&D. Almost every new chip design for the automotive industry, for example, takes as long as two years from development process to mass production – assuring uncompromised quality, safety and reliability.

“We work with everyone from multinationals to government agencies; they come to us and we go to them for collaboration,” Lim says.

These partnerships ensure that the technologies can be effectively replicated in any market, particularly in key and emerging manufacturing hubs such as China, Vietnam and India.

“China has been the factory of the world for many years – and while it continues to be so for many more, it’s also transforming into a technology leader in its own right,” Lim says. “We look forward to becoming the technology partner of choice in China and the rest of Asia. Despite Rokko’s global presence and challenges, it is vigilant and excited about what the brand becomes in the next 25 years.”
