Technology evolves to accommodate the changing needs of society, with companies racing to develop the most intuitive, efficient, and automated machines. In the industry of manufacturing component products for the automotive and electronic industries, SP Metal Part (SPM) has proven itself to be a versatile and innovative leader in an increasingly competitive market.

Producing solely electrical appliances 43 years ago, SPM has grown substantially over the decades. It is now also serving the automotive and medical technology sectors. Armed with an impervious drive to improve its products and services, SPM closely monitors market trends, adapting its diverse factories to respond swiftly to any changes.

SPM hones its expertise by constantly accepting new challenges and opportunities. The company is heavily invested in research and development towards the procurement of future-proof technologies and resources, especially with the emergence of electric cars, which are expected to sweep the automotive industry.

“We are getting ready for future developments in the industry by researching into more sustainable resources that can be functionally used in the automotive sector,” says Chanchai Tangthamphoonphon, managing director.

“We also want to invest in automated technology.” Now a first-tier auto parts supplier of Nissan Motor Thailand and Mitsubishi Motor Thailand, and working with world-renowned companies such as Bridgestone and Samsung, SPM has also ventured into manufacturing medical devices such as premium hospital and home care beds. The company is collaborating with a local hospital in Thailand to accurately meet and adapt to patients’ needs, and has since made a name for itself, producing affordable, top-quality medical equipment.

Committed to maintaining its dominance in the automotive field in Southeast Asia, SPM opens its doors to global markets, and is willing to start collaborations for product development and forge partnerships with distributors in Europe and Asia. In line with the government’s drive to promote the Eastern Economic Corridor, the company established its new plant SP Automotive Product in 2012 to support the company’s Eastern customers.
