Rapid urbanisation and infrastructure renewal in developing nations in Asia, alongside the creation of megacities and smart cities, has made the region the largest market for Krøll Cranes. The world’s leading manufacturer of heavy-duty tower cranes and custom builds, Krøll Cranes has built a reputation for quality and reliability in Asia. The company has established a base of loyal customers that includes two of South Korea’s biggest shipyards, Samsung and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.

“We work closely with our clients to come up with the best lifting solution. We listen to their needs and develop products from that, not from what we think the market needs,” says Henrik Nielsen, managing director. “Our clients have come to see us as part of their business.”

On the outskirts of Copenhagen, Krøll has been designing and manufacturing hammerhead and luffing cranes for more than half a century. From 70 tonne-metres to 25,000 tonne-metres, Krøll cranes are acclaimed for their pinpoint precision and for being durable, operator-friendly and low-maintenance. These heavy-duty cranes guarantee safe and reliable operation in the specialised segments of heavy construction, shipbuilding, conventional and nuclear power plant construction, and bridge and dam building. To date, Krøll has produced more than 5,000 cranes that are installed in 42 countries.

Krøll has also entered the wind energy industry with its large-capacity, free-standing tower cranes that address the higher erection levels and heavier nacelle weight requirements of the sector. Krøll has just completed installation projects for Vestas’ wind turbines in Thailand and is pursuing similar projects in Europe and North America.

Seeking to bring its industry-leading cranes to more international markets, Krøll welcomes highly motivated sales partners who see growing their
business by representing a brand of proven quality.

“Our potential partners should have in-depth knowledge of local industry conditions as well as access to a client base with similar appreciation to quality,” Nielsen says.
