World Investment News (WI): From your perspective, what is the current status of Ghana’s logistics sector? Joseph Biney (JB): The sector keeps improving by the day. With more multinational companies coming in, such as ENI, who not only want to see the job get done, logistic companies wishing to get involved had to step up their game and meet the high standards that are demanded. The logistics business in Ghana is improving and it is doing so very fast. (WI): What strategies are you implementing to ensure Baj Freight maintains its position as the number one oil and gas logistics company in Ghana? (JB): We are building a 31,000-square-metre facility within the Takoradi Port for oil and gas services. We are certain that this terminal, on completion, will add more value to what we are already doing. Our facility development in the Takoradi port is going to be one of the major attractions to any offshore company wanting to do business in Ghana. We are right in the middle of the port, and we have all the resources (equipment and manpower) to handle cargo within it.
