An innovative and reliable electronic component supply chain is valuable to the global electronics industry, which derives new applications and groundbreaking products from the fusion of various technologies. Boasting one of the oldest and most extensive components distribution networks in Japan as it celebrates its 80th anniversary, Okamoto Electronics is set to launch overseas a total package solution combining mobile communication and robotics technology. Using the internet of things to provide wireless solutions for “Society 5.0”, the latest innovation in Japan’s smart electronics space will be introduced to global markets by overseas arm Ohtori Corp.

The company’s overseas expansion is spreading globally. Ohtori opened its latest branch in Malaysia. It has sales offices in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, mainland China and Hong Kong, with Ohtori Japan supplying electronic components to North America and Europe. Ohtori aims to deepen its engagement in the world by providing research and development support to clients.

As this year marks 80 years since starting its business, the company will serve as the bridge between partner suppliers in Japan and consumer electronics manufacturers globally. Ohtori is particularly keen on attracting more clients from the medical, automotive and energy industries overseas. Its range of products includes electronic parts, semiconductors, modules, measuring instruments and tools, with perhaps the most extensive supplier base for parts and components in Japan.
