For more than four decades, Benéton Properties has been involved in the development of just about every asset class, from commercial and office spaces to hotels through landed homes and high-rise residential buildings. The second-generation, family-operated company, however, has made a solid industry imprint with its focus on low-density, high-end developments in premium locations.

“Being family-owned, we have the freedom to design projects that reflect our vision of refined living,” says CEO Chan Kin Meng. “Our set-up is agile, and our aim is to set trends to leave a lasting impact wherever we have a presence.”

Benéton stands out among the sea of brands in real estate because of its sensitive and innovative approach to property development. It is renowned for incorporating intelligent design solutions and sustainable luxury features in its properties as showcased in its two recent projects: the Irama Wangsa resort-concept condominium in Kuala Lumpur and the Rhombus residential tower located in the premier lifestyle hub of Bangsar.

Beyond establishing its position in Malaysia, Benéton has carved a robust presence in London. Its latest projects are a pair of new-build boutique developments: Anne House in Shoreditch and at Stukeley Street in Covent Garden. Anne House, completed late last year, comprises five boutique apartments. It is located within a gated mews, close to the Shoreditch entertainment quarter and London’s financial district.

Benéton has also been involved in several real estate investment projects in central London since 2009, when it developed the Waldron House apartments in Chelsea W1 together with Native Land. To expand its overseas reach, Benéton has established a base in Sydney, which is the third market it intends to cultivate a presence in over the coming years.

“We always look for opportunities to team up with different partners as they give us a chance to learn more,” Chan says. “We’re open to collaborating with industry players throughout the region, including architectural and engineering firms, interior designers and sustainable building consultants, to help us advance our growth strategy.”
