With its core values founded on quality and hard work, home-grown family business Pipeco Tanks Malaysia (Pipeco Malaysia) has built a solid track record in the past 36 years to become the partner of choice for water storage needs. The company’s consistency in providing high-quality products and competitive pricing has earned it a leading market position bolstered by a growing global client base. To date, Pipeco Malaysia’s products are exported to more than 60 countries, with the first stainless steel water tank recently installed in Peru.
“Water is crucial to mankind and is needed in every sector everywhere in the world,” says CEO and managing director Tan Eng Huat, who founded Pipeco Malaysia in 1984. In 2008, Tan was joined by the Romier family of France as private investors, and has not looked back since.
We have the capacity, experience and expertise to cater to almost all requirements for water storage in every sector, be it raw water, treated water, seawater, wastewater, above or underground
“We have the capacity, experience and expertise to cater to almost all requirements for water storage in every sector, be it raw water, treated water, seawater, wastewater, above or underground,” Tan says. “This openness and flexibility to serve virtually any industry anywhere in the world are keys to our sustained growth.”
From its ISO 9001:2015-accredited facilities in Port Klang, Pipeco Malaysia manufactures sectional panels/modular tanks made of composite glass-reinforced plastic, stainless steel and galvanised steel, insulated tanks and United States-made Triton stormwater/rain harvesting underground chambers and vaults. Beyond Malaysia, Pipeco Malaysia’s water tanks are well-known in Singapore, Asean, Taiwan, the Middle East, India and South Africa. Research and development also forms part of its expansion programmes to enhance production efficiency and new products, which include solar-powered water treatment systems with European establishments.
“We are confident to move on and continue to grow at a steady pace,” Tan says. “Our next growth target is the huge African and Asian subcontinent markets. Apart from a commercial perspective, we’re open to collaborative projects with water management organisations, distributors and other industry players to broaden our global presence and provide clean and hygienic water storage solutions to the world.”
