Swiss universities have consistently carved their niche at the top of global university rankings such as the Times Higher Education and QS. This achievement is a product of excellence formation that starts early and continues throughout students’ academic life. Collège du Léman is a prime example of such a learning institution committed to transforming students into cosmopolitan individuals responsive to the demands of a globalised world.

“Collège du Léman stands for what Switzerland is, not just in education but in general – high quality, safe environment, internationalised, multicultural, open-minded with a global focus but strong Swiss roots,” says director general Thomas Schädler.

Located along the banks of Lake Geneva, Collège du Léman is a member of the Nord Anglia Education organisation – a premium global group comprising 43 international, boarding and private schools.

A pre-K to grade 12 preparatory school, Collège du Léman takes learning outside the four walls of the classroom and elevates it into a global setting. Collège du Léman connects students and faculty with their counterparts from other Nord Anglia Education schools such as the Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong and Léman International School - Chengdu, among others.

In Collège du Léman, students thrive in diversity through exposure to a multicultural environment. Students from across the globe choose the school for its personalised approach in delivering courses under different programmes such as International Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate and Swiss Maturité. Students have the option of choosing the medium of instruction, whether French, English or a bilingual programme.

Partnerships with leading universities also provide Collège du Léman students an edge. Specialists in their respective fields collaborated with Collège du Léman in developing programmes: The Juilliard School in New York helped design the music curriculum and King’s College London collaborates with Collège du Léman in teacher training and professional development. There is also an upcoming collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on the science curriculum.

The school encourages balanced learning. Complementing its world-class academic programmes are a wide variety of extra-curricular activities ranging from clubs to societies, sports, performing arts, crafts, and other activities arranged on demand.

Outside Europe, Collège du Léman sees a growing demand for an internationalised education in Asia, particularly China. To better communicate with parents and prospective students in their own language, the school employs a multilingual admissions representative versed in Putonghua, Cantonese, French and English. Aiming to better assist parents and students, Collège du Léman seeks partnerships with agents and consultants that can offer valuable advice about the personalised global education the school offers.
