While internet protocol television (IPTV) technology has been available for nearly 20 years, high installation costs and connectivity issues have prohibited it from reaching a worldwide market – until now. The global IPTV market is forecast to reach nearly US$80 billion by 2020, driven by content-on-demand and rapidly increasing broadband penetration.
“Asia-Pacific is poised to lead this growth as the most aggressive regional market, powered by fast-growing economies and even faster-growing technology adoption,” says Axel Bechler, CEO of communication technologies specialist Axing. “As installation costs decrease, every four- and five-star hotel will have IPTV in the next five to eight years, and will be followed by the rest of the hospitality and related industries.”

Looking forward to collaborating with similarly discerning clients from Asia, Axing regularly attends trade shows such as CommunicAsia in Singapore, where it will be showcasing its solutions in May.
Axing also aims to work with more telecommunication companies, network operators, system integrators, distributors and exclusive partners in the region.
