Packaging is just as important as the product it carries. As it is part and parcel for containers to reliably secure, preserve and dispense their contents, sourcing high-quality packaging systems is essential. Few come close to the expertise found in Herrmann products. As the company celebrates its 76th anniversary, Herrmann continues to top global ranks with its customised systems, bottles, caps and closures for packaging, storing, sealing, dispensing and dosing.
Complete with ISO 9001, ISO 15378 and ISO 13485 certifications, Herrmann offers world-class standard and custom-built packaging solutions with verifiable Swiss workmanship. Having supplied mainly pharmaceutical and medical industries, the second-generation company has also designed containers for cosmetics, food, cleaning, technical application and agrochemical uses.
“The company’s motto, ‘To cap it all’, refers to a perfect-fit solution, tailored to the individual project,” says Thomas Baselgia, CEO. “Our product portfolio ranges from simple and standard caps to complex multipart systems. Examples include tamper-evident closures, child-resistant closures, desiccants, pipettes, droppers, pouring spouts and measuring cups.”
Through intensive research and development, Herrmann has established a tool design and construction division, which houses its very own moulding department. This allows clients to have total control over details within the flow of production, from start to finish.
Equipped with 45 injection moulding machines, 18 laminar flow units and its own Good Manufacturing Practice Class C and ISO 7-certified cleanroom facilities, Herrmann conserves energy with its cleaner, eco-friendlier production process as most of its units are powered by electricity.
As Herrmann’s premium plastic injection mouldings serve myriad uses in various industries across the world, the company is open to forming more partnerships abroad.
“We have a huge portfolio of existing product specifications and individually created, 100 per cent Swiss solutions that are accessible through direct and personal contact,” says Ronald Guyot-Herrmann, member of the board of directors. “We see growth opportunities in Asia, and we are sure we can support the markets there.”
