When it comes to power conversion, Cincon Electronics is a name that stands out above the rest.

“Our strategy is producing diverse high-quality products in small quantities, but with the flexibility to still meet customers’ needs – while also continuing with our older solutions to serve long-time clients,” says CEO Jack Yen. “We provide very good service because we have a large platform of standard products that allows us to engineer quick modifications. We have been continuously profiting over the last 27 years.”
From single and multiple output DC/DC converters from 1 watt (W) to 750W, open frame AC/DC power supplies from 5W to 1600W, to LED power supplies from 15W to 150W, Cincon Electronics products are designed using the latest simulation techniques, test equipment and computer-aided tools at the company’s wholly owned state-of-the-art factories in mainland China and Taiwan.
Cincon Electronics products undergo 80 quality assurance check points and rigorous testing before shipment to meet international safety standards. Products also come with two or three-year warranties depending on the type bought.
“Our brick type converters are our most powerful products within the DC/DC category,” Yen says. “These generate very high power and have industrial, medical and transport applications such as in powering railways and electric vehicles.
“Within the AC/DC category, we offer a complete series of products with specific medical applications that have received regulation approval from the medical industry. We are also focused on providing products with small wattage and internet-of-things applications.”
The company’s LED drivers – a small but high-growth segment comprising 5 per cent of the business – also present potential applications for smart homes and smart buildings. Cincon Electronics has been focusing on Digital Addressable Lighting Interface or DALI, an interconnected lighting control system and global standard in lighting control.
Founded in 1991, Cincon Electronics has patented nearly 10 product technologies and has an in-house research and development staff of 75.
Cincon Electronics also offers modified power conversion products through its original equipment manufacturing and original design manufacturing arm – allowing for reliable customer-tailored solutions, rapid prototyping and adherence to cost targets.
