Grammy Award-winning American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars and Mercury Prize-winning British indie trio The xx are both heading our way in 2018. Producer and DJ Mark Ronson puts own spin on his hit songs Mars, whose 2014 track Uptown Funk produced by Mark Ronson was one of the biggest hits of the decade, will be appearing at AsiaWorld-Expo on May 12. He has become one of the most successful solo artists to emerge in recent years, so far winning five Grammy Awards and selling more than 170 million singles and 26 million albums worldwide. Mars last performed in Hong Kong in 2014, where he wowed fans over two nights. Meanwhile, The xx, who won the Mercury Prize for the UK’s best album in 2010 and performed a sold-out show in Hong Kong in 2013, will be returning for another performance, this time at AsiaWorld-Expo on February 1. The band released their third studio album, I See You, in January this year, and recently broke the record for the longest run of sold-out shows at London’s iconic venue the O2 Brixton Academy. ‘It’s a different kind of beauty’: Indie band The xx hit Hong Kong Tickets to the Mars’ show, which start at HK$788, go on sale via HK Ticketing on October 19, while general sales for The xx, with prices yet to be announced, start on October 20.
