And Carey will arrive in Macau in good form, coming off the back of her 2017 residency in Las Vegas. During the Macau leg of “The #1’s Tour”, fans can expect to hear her belt out all her hits such as Dreamlover, Emotions, Hero and more.

The 48-year-old, who made her debut in 1990, is the bestselling female artist of all time with more than 200 million albums sold to date. Once dubbed “songbird supreme” by Guinness World Records, she has topped The Billboard Hot 100 charts 18 times, more than any other solo artist.

This is the first time she will perform publicly in the Pearl River Delta region, after her 2006 Hong Kong concert was cancelled reportedly due to poor ticket sales. While this may be her first public show in Macau, she is no stranger to the casino city, headlining the star-studded opening ceremony of a US$3.2 billion casino in 2015.

Carey recently hit the headlines after revealing her long battle with bipolar disorder. She hopes by coming forward she can help to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health.
