R&B sensation The Weeknd to debut in Hong Kong in November as part of his Asia tour

Three-time Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter The Weeknd will be staging his debut Hong Kong performance in November.

The Canadian artist, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, will be launching an Asia tour in Hong Kong on November 30 before moving on to Bangkok (December 2), Singapore (December 5), Manila (December 7), Bali (December 9), Taipei (December 12), Seoul (December 15) and Tokyo (December 18).

Tesfaye has topped the US charts three times with the singles Beauty Behind the Madness, Starboy and My Dear Melancholy, and has won acclaim for broadening the sonic palette of R&B by incorporating indie and electronic styles.

The venue and ticketing details for the Hong Kong show have not been announced.
