Tasty Portuguese food and a great atmosphere makes Antonio in historic Old Taipa Village a standout.

My three favourite Macau restaurants: former Miss Macau Patricia Cheong’s choice

Former Miss Macau shares her favourite dining spots

Former Miss Macau, Patricia Cheong.

Patricia Cheong is far more than a pretty face. The former beauty pageant contestant served as director of marketing for Venetian Macao before becoming a seasoned local entrepreneur, having established a range of marketing and jewellery businesses. The founder and CEO of Luxe by Encanto Luxury also has a soft spot for fresh seafood and hot pot.

Fresh and seasonal items at Rainbow Hin Seafood Hot Pot.

1. Rainbow Hin Seafood Hot Pot opened in 2013. As the name suggests, this restaurant has many fresh and seasonal seafood items including sashimi. They also have special soup bases such as ginseng chicken pot.

2. The Portuguese food here is always very tasty and the atmosphere on the rooftop is so nice and relaxing. Located in historic Old Taipa Village, it’s a good place to take friends who are new to Macau.

Variety of seafood at Kau Dim, Macau.

3. I enjoy the variety of fresh seafood sashimi here, including lobster, geoduck and abalone. And it has a variety of great beef for hot pot. The restaurant is in the iconic Dynasty Plaza, which also houses a number of government offices.
