Say Aloha to Hawaiian cuisine in Macau this summer
Hawaiian cuisine is hot right now and it’s about to get its moment in the sun on these shores too as a special Hawaiian barbecue buffet comes to Macau
A little taste of Hawaii is coming to Macau this summer as JW Marriott Hotel Macau wants to take guests to an exotic tropical getaway at the Pool Bar, with the commencement of the “Hawaiian Luau Barbecue Buffet”, held every Saturday evening from now until June 19, 2016.
“With summer around the corner, people in Macau, Hong Kong and on the mainland will think of having barbecues at nearby beaches hence, this is definitely the right time to introduce Hawaiian cuisine with the backdrop of beaches and pools,” says Mr. Yosef Szeto, the Executive Sous Chef Western at JW Marriott Hotel Macau.

Upon arrival, each guest will be offered a welcome Tiki shot, served in a specialty shot glass containing ingredients such as coconut and pineapple.
Guests will then embark on a Hawaiian culinary journey with a wide range of sumptuous dishes from the buffet. The Ahi Poke, Lomilomi Salmon and Squid Luau are some of the appetizers sure to whet your appetite. They’ll be seafood a plenty too, including Lobster, Bread Crab, Sea whelk, Shrimp, Mussel and Snow crab legs.
The must-try hot items like Kalua Pua’a (roast pork prepared in an underground steam oven) and the charcoal grill station are not to be missed. For sweet lovers, they’ll be desserts given a Hawaiian twist too - such as the coconut crème brulee, pineapple meringue, brandied cherries chocolate mousse and toasted macadamia nut brownies!

Entertainment will be on hand in the form of a fire performance starting at 7:30pm with a professional fire dancer brandishing daredevil stunts to entertain guests.
With Hawaiian cuisine and dishes like poke (Hawaiian raw fish dish) becoming a top food trend in major cities all over the world, be sure not to miss this golden opportunity to sample some of Hawaii’s finest food in a relaxed setting.
The weekly “Luau Hawaiian Barbecue Feast" will be held every Saturday evening from now until June 19, 2016 at the Pool Bar JW Marriott, Macau. Adults dine for MOP528 and children aged 3 to 12 dine for MOP264.
