And with so many quality restaurants boasting specially designed Christmas menus, diners are spoilt for choice this year. We break it all down into bite-size information and present our favourite places.
 

Dynasty 8
If high-end Chinese cuisine with a slice of old world charm is what you’re after, the elegant Dynasty 8’s six-course dinner will be perfect for you. Available from December 24 to 25 at the Conrad Macao, the set menu includes Boston lobster soup with scallop and braised beef rib with coffee sauce.

Terrazza
For a truly gastronomic affair, foodies should make reservations at the one Michelin-starred Terrazza, located at Galaxy Macau. The seven-course set dinner, available for one night only on December 24, features a list of decadent dishes, which includes roasted chicken croquettes with truffle aroma; grilled lamb loin with smoked eggplant, citrus and saffron potatoes; and Italian Christmas cake.

Urban Kitchen
From December 24 to 25, Urban Kitchen at the JW Mariott is offering traditional must-haves including roast turkey. Also on the menu is capella, a classic Portuguese dish of baked meat loaf stuffed with cheese, black olives and breadcrumbs and topped with bacon.

Copa Steakhouse
Copa Steakhouse at Sands Macao knows how to appeal to the crowds with time-honoured crowd-favourites like traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings and traditional Christmas pudding made with vanilla brandy Anglaise. The Christmas set menu is available from December 24 to 25.

Bambu
If you’re the type who prefers to sample a little bit of everything, then Bambu at The Venetian Macao might be just the place to organise your Christmas festivities. The dinner buffet also includes roast turkey and roast ham with pineapple honey glaze. Don’t forget to save space for the dessert section, where there are Christmas cookies and pudding galore.

Brasserie
If it’s French cuisine you’re hungry for, then Brasserie located at The Parisian Macao is the perfect destination. For a quintessential “joie de vivre” experience in typical French style, the restaurant is offering a wide range of dishes including oysters, foie gras and filet mignon. Remember to end the night on a high note by stopping by the Christmas-themed buffet table for a grand finale.

Bene
Over at Sheraton Grand Macao, Bene has sought inspiration from the classic Christmas song “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. From December 24 until 26 – and then again on December 31 – guests can feast on a total of 12 dishes. And with each dish appearing only once per meal, diners should choose their dates wisely. For example, diners can look forward to feasting on roasted suckling pig on Christmas Eve, baked Hokkaido scallops on Christmas Day, or Iberico lamb loin and ribs for lunch on Boxing Day.

Privé
A Christmas Eve dinner at Privé in Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 is always an intimate affair. With space for only 24 people, it resembles a chef’s table more than a typical restaurant. Chef Nulli, who has worked in various Michelin-starred restaurants, has created a high-end gastronomic six-course French dinner complete with signature dishes like oyster Fine de Claire.

Jade Dragon
If there is an occasion for a bit of splurging, then there’s no doubt it is Christmas time. Two Michelin-starred Jade Dragon at the City of Dreams is boasting a sumptuous Cantonese set menu for two and includes all-time favourites with a high-end twist. Dishes include scrambled egg white topped with sea urchin and caviar, baked crab meat and crispy diced fish in crab shell, and sakura shrimp with pork wonton soup.

Ying
As everyone knows, wintry months equal steaming hot pot season. The best hot pot menu can be found over at one Michelin-starred Ying in Altira Macau, where Boston lobsters, Hiroshima oysters, Australian scallops and giant garoupa fillets are the norm. Meat lovers will enjoy sampling the Iberico pork, Wagyu beef and US Angus beef. Available from December 24 to 25.

Trattoria Il Mulino
On December 25, diners can dig into seared Hokkaido scallops, slow-cooked veal loin, poached lobster, braised veal agnolotti with black truffle and more at Trattoria Il Mulino in Studio City. Festive roasts (think roast turkey, pineapple honey glazed ham and slow-roasted prime ribs with thyme and rosemary crust) are also available for takeaway, each at different prices.
