The US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer held a press briefing at 3pm HKT on Monday to detail progress made in the US-China trade negotiations in Switzerland over the weekend.

Both sides agreed to establish a “trade consultation mechanism” during two days of “constructive” talks in Geneva aimed at tamping down a tariff war, China’s Vice-Premier He Lifeng told reporters earlier.
