About 4.8 million Syrians have fled a country ravaged by more than four years of civil war. Entire families have become stateless citizens in the worst refugee crisis since the genocide in Rwanda 20 years ago, according to experts.
Around 10% of these immigrants have turned to the European dream in the hope of starting a new life. The immigration crisis is becoming increasingly desperate not just for the refugees, but also for the countries receiving them. Countries such as Hungary, Italy and Greece are being overwhelmed by the situation. This state of affairs has forced the European Union to grant a limited amount of refugees asylum by imposing tallies on its member countries. A poor solution that camouflages a dramatic situation
