Hong Kong has one of the world’s lowest fertility rates. Anecdotal evidence suggests young people reel at the cost of raising a child, so we decided to study how much bringing up a child actually costs by looking at three hypothetical families, each from a different income bracket. Our graphic assumes both parents are in full- or part-time employment, and want to maintain similar lifestyles to their pre-child years
