It’s all guest shifts all weekend as some of the best hotel bars in Hong Kong and Macau host a wide range of concepts from across the region. Lobster Bar welcomes Yakoboku from Kumamoto in Japan, while The Aubrey hosts two of Manila’s best bars: The Spirits Library and The Curator.

Across the delta, Wing Lei Bar hosts bars from Bangkok, Penang, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen and, of course, Hong Kong in its inaugural edition of Wing Lei Bar & Friends.

Start your weekend early in Admiralty as Shinya Koba arrives all the way from Kumamoto, Japan. He is the co-founder of Yakoboku, Asia’s 25th Best Bar, which focuses on seasonal ingredients and house-made ferments, and combines them in a subtle approach to minimalist cocktails.

Manila takes over the Mandarin Oriental’s upscale izakaya concept as The Aubrey hosts The Spirits Library and The Curator back-to-back. Ralph Allen Santos, winner of Diageo World Class Philippines in 2025, represents The Spirits Library, which is a “purveyor of rare bottles, books and bar paraphernalia”. His predecessor, the winner of Diageo World Class Philippines in 2024, Kiko Victor, represents The Curator, a dual coffee and cocktails concept that ranks 78th on Asia’s 50 Best Bars.
