As January comes to an end and February ushers in the Year of the Horse, this weekend’s guide closes the month on a high with Wan Chai’s Tuscan lunch, a Japanese brunch and student-powered grab-and-go classics before the Lunar New Year festivities begin.

Associazione Chianti in Wan Chai introduces a new Friday-only lunch, channelling Florence’s end-of-week trattoria spirit through a three-course Tuscan menu of antipasti, handmade pasta and tiramisu for lingering midday indulgence.

The HK$318 set lets guests choose classics such as pecorino al fieno with pear and thyme honey, insalata cesare with chicory and anchovies, or salumi misti, followed by pappardelle with beef and pork ragù or tagliatelle with truffle butter, then tableside-scooped tiramisu. The meal is upgradeable with butcher’s cuts like 450g controfiletto con l’osso or 350g costata rib-eye alongside Italian wines by the glass.
