Kitchen at the W hotel has a Shanghai-themed buffet this spring, in collaboration with W Shanghai – The Bund. At the food counters, Jiangnan and Shanghainese favourites are reimagined with a bold, modern twist – think stir-fried shrimp with lime, braised pork belly with fermented red bean curd, and salted egg yolk baked crab and crispy aromatic duck, alongside cold plates like roast gluten with dried tangerine peel, and pickled vegetables with edamame and Sakura shrimp, plus soul-warming soups including chicken with fresh meat dumplings and Shaoxing aged hua diao.
