Hong Kong is buzzing this week, with Art Basel and Art Central kicking off. Meanwhile, the 14th edition of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony will also take place – the first time it will be held in Hong Kong.

With that buzz comes plenty of exciting culinary events to look forward to. Those that demand swift reservations include two top-chef collaborations and a feast that’s set to break a world record.

To mark the unveiling of its 2026 list this week, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants will host a series of culinary events named Signature Sessions, which brings together top chefs from Hong Kong and cities around the region for one-night-only collaborations.

On Thursday, two Cantonese fine-dining restaurants – The Chinese Library in Hong Kong and Shenzhen’s Ensue – will present an eight-course dinner that blends southern Chinese culinary heritage with modern techniques.

The Chinese Library’s chef Junno Li and chef Jeffrey Wu of Ensue will serve up creations like pan-seared fish maw with sea cucumber and mushroom rice, 15-year tangerine peel eel soup and French lobster zucchini flower, with an optional wine pairing.
