Your Hong Kong weekend drinks guide for June 11-13
Taipei’s Knock Knock Bar drops by 001 at Tai Kwun, 2 Kowloon bars join hands as Avoca works with Clan & Co, and Gokan launches an Okinawa-inspired menu

As rain tears through Hong Kong in June, there’s no better place than a bar from which to weather the storm. On Thursday, Taipei’s Knock Knock Bar visits Hong Kong’s first speakeasy. If supporting local is more your speed, look no further than Avoca: the bar is hosting community-focused bar Clan & Co, which works with Magnolia Lab’s local herb liqueurs. Then, on Saturday, sample Gokan’s latest menu inspired by the balmy southern prefecture of Okinawa.

001 x Knock Knock Bar

When Hong Kong’s original speakeasy hosts a guest bar, it’s never a joke. Knock Knock Bar brings its brand of experimental mixology from Taipei to Tai Kwun this weekend. Its menu has included seasonal concepts like culinary cocktails such as the Miso Penicillin, a combination of Macallan 12 Years Double Cask, salty miso, bonito, kombu, palo santo and ginger.
