Ponentino arrives in Tseung Kwan O as a new Italian dining destination with the pedigree of the hotel’s renowned Tsim Sha Tsui spot Sabatini, but offering a more relaxed take on the cuisine. On the rooftop of The Royal Garden Kowloon East, the new restaurant leans into elevated Italian classics, from Botan Ebi shrimp carpaccio with salmon roe, caviar, green apple and yuzu sorbet, to fig stracciatella, linguine with Spanish red prawn, and pan-fried toothfish with seasonal vegetables and Franciacorta cream sauce.

The menu is designed to move from lighter, brighter flavours to richer comfort dishes. Tasting menu, à la carte and semi-buffet options are all set against bay views and an airy, resort-style setting. Desserts such as home-made tiramisu and apple pie with vanilla gelato add a familiar, indulgent finish, making Ponentino feel like a destination for both leisurely lunches and decadent evening meals.

Where: 47/F, The Royal Garden Kowloon East, 3 Tong Tak Street, Tseung Kwan O

When: Daily, 12pm-12am

Price: Tasting menu HK$528 (lunch) to HK$788 (dinner). Semi-buffet lunch HK$358 (weekdays) to HK$398 (weekends and public holidays)
