AB Concept interior designers Ed Ng and Terence Ngan have made their mark in five-star hotels all across the globe, including Four Seasons and W hotels. And now their own revamped office would easily fetch five stars itself.

"Why is it so important? Because that's where we work and I always believe a good environment will improve the work you do," said Ng on Thursday at an intimate cocktail party to unveil the firm's gallery-like studio to hotel executives, luxury property developers, designers and other clients and celebrities of the industry.

The 8,000 sq ft office in Leighton Centre, Causeway Bay, features space to showcase their tailor-made furniture, an indoor garden resembling a flower stall, a private gym and a professionally equipped pantry.

One closet contained a treasure trove of fabrics categorised according to price.

Original artworks by Salvador Dali, David Kracov and Olivier et Myriam added the finishing touch.

"I wanted to have an office like this when I first stumbled into the career and now it's a dream come true," said Ng, who has cited Paris as his favourite city.

To coincide with the unveiling of the atelier, AB Concept published its first book, entitled , which documents its portfolio over the past 12 years. The book will be available in major bookstores next month.
