Jeanine Hsu, the founder of jeweller Niin, has released four new collections inspired by her recent trip to India.

"I went for a friend's wedding but not for the places where I [based] the collections [on] necessarily. It was more inspired by being in India," said Hsu.

A fashion graduate from London's Central Saint Martins, Hsu combined her two passions - sculpture and fashion - and started Niin in Portobello Market in 2005. She opened a showroom in Hong Kong three years ago, followed by online store niinstyle.com in 2011.

"I then started researching more about villages and got interested in all kinds of forgotten talents and handmade things," Hsu said.

The collection launch was held on Thursday at dragon-i in conjunction with the brand's third anniversary party. Rosemary Vandenbroucke led a bevy of models on the catwalk to show off the chunky jewellery pieces and clutches made from such natural materials such as agate and carnelian. Guests included Ronald and Johanna Arculli, Benjamin and Claire Vuchot, Gordon and Tais Lam, Yenn Wong, Sharie Ross Tse, Ana Rivera and Ankie Beilke.
