Fans of Karena Lam Ka-yan's films were upset when the actress announced she had retired from the big screen. But it seems Lam, mother of a two-year-old girl, still has an itch for acting.

The star of Ann Hui On-wah's July Rhapsody recently starred in a music video with good friend and Canto-pop king Eason Chan Yik-shun. Her filmmaker husband Steve Yuen Kim-wai wrote and directed the five-minute video.

It's not the first time Chan and Lam have appeared together in a film project. They co-starred in the romantic comedy Lover's Discourse in 2010.

The music video for Chan's song Trust off his newly released album 3mm centres on a couple reunited after years of separation.

Chan plays a low-life gangster who abandoned Lam's character years back and now hopes to win her back.

But Lam, an aspiring actress, has already moved on with her life but finds herself battling mixed feelings following the reunion.
