The pre-spring collection of British brand House of Holland is inspired by Americana. Featuring colourful stripes and prints of "pompom people" - pompom-shaped cheerleaders with funky hairstyles - the collection is on sale at LAB CONCEPT in Admiralty.
Founder Henry Holland came to town to mark his company's first collaboration with the retail destination in Queensway Plaza.
"Our style is very much about an attitude. It's about a personality that I try to bring to our clothes. Lots of British designers inject a sense of humour into their work, it's part of our nature," Holland said on Friday, when he showed off his skills as a DJ.
He also demonstrated the brand's iPhone app. Using the augmented reality platform Aurasma, by pointing an iPhone camera at the pompom people print on the clothing, they start to dance on the screen.
Holland also created a slogan T-shirt that shouts "Don't I Look Fab, I Got it at Lab" for LAB CONCEPT.
A journalism graduate, Holland started designing slogan T-shirts as a side project when he worked at a magazine for teenagers. They became so popular that he started his own brand.
