CEOs from leading mobile players to speak at Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2016
This year’s event covers a wide range of issues involving both startups and established companies and sectors such as retailing, transport, the car industry and sport
Fifth-generation mobile networks, automotive technology, cyber security, digital commerce, gaming, the Internet of Things (IoT), hardware innovation, and smart cities are just some of the key topics that will be explored and discussed at the upcoming Mobile World Congress Shanghai, to be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre between June 29 and July 1.
Keynote speakers will include senior executives from major players in the telecommunications field from around the region, including Baidu, China Mobile, China Telecom, HTC, NTT DOCOMO, ZTE and AT&T Mobility.
Michael O’Hara of organiser GSMA says this year’s line-up of speakers, programmes, events and experiences will appeal to both business attendees and consumers.
A highlight will be the Innovation City, which will return to the trade show for a fourth edition. The exhibition space will invite visitors to explore an immersive environment that demonstrates how intelligent mobile-connected products and services are impacting our lives.
This year’s showcase includes a diverse range of experiences from startups as well as more established companies – such as Huawei, Oppo and nubia – and covers sectors such as retail, transport, automotive and sport.
“Innovation City continues to be one of the most popular attractions at Mobile World Congress and is the perfect place to experience the latest trends and innovations in mobile all at one destination,” says O’Hara.
