Tom Cruise to pay US$4.8m for daughter's child support

Katie Holmes walked away without a payment or alimony in her divorce with Tom Cruise, but their six-year-old daughter, Suri, stands to get US$400,000 annually in child support until she turns 18, TMZ.com said. Citing people familiar with court documents filed by the former couple, TMZ said the pre-nuptial agreement blocked Holmes from getting any part of the 50-year-old actor's US$250 million fortune. But Cruise would make child-support payments over the next 12 years totalling US$4.8 million.
