Le French May, which promotes French arts and creativity in Hong Kong with exhibitions and events that range from the food and wine to music, dance and visual arts, is celebrating its 22nd year.

The event was opened with a speech by Florence Hui, undersecretary for Home Affairs. Afterwards, Arnaud Barthelemy, consul general of France in Hong Kong and Macau, announced the programme for 2014.

Showing their support at the festivities were Timothy Fok, Peter Cheng, Cissy Pao, Daniel Chan, David Au, Melissa Fok, and Marissa Shaw Fung. Attendees enjoyed music from a quartet, contemporary dance and gastronomic delights.

To celebrate the 95th anniversary of Czechoslovak independence and the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Czech Republic, the Czech Consulate recently hosted a cocktail reception at the InterContinental Hong Kong. The event was officiated by Chief Executive C.Y. Leung.
