LIFE

What I’m listening to: lately I’ve had George Ezra’s Wanted on Voyage on repeat. His earthy, soulful voice seems like the perfect soundtrack for autumn and his lyrics are just the right balance of romance and wit.

What I’m reading: I always have my nose buried in a crime novel of some sort. At the moment, it’s John Grisham’s latest, Gray Mountain. I also just read Haruki Murakami’s Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage. I love that Murakami doesn’t commit to a single genre – you’re always in for a surprise when you open one of his books.

What I’m watching: I go through phases with TV. I watch a series right through, then nothing for a while. The second season of Orange is the New Black was my latest binge.

What artists I’m following: I’ve been loving the outpouring of creativity that has been part of the Umbrella Movement. There is so much talent here in Hong Kong, with art that is truly East meets West.

Where I’m surfing: I’m all about the latest news and opinions. I read local and international papers online every morning, from the SCMP to The New York Times and The Guardian. After the headlines, it’s on to the arts and culture sections to check the latest trends around the world.
