Music fans will be familiar with much of the talent at Clockenflap this year, but don't let the big names distract you from these lesser-known gems. SATURDAY Shamus Dark (UK): How to describe Shamus Dark? Edgy, dark and good for a midnight cry, the father of noir jazz will be joined on stage by Hong Kong's Eugene Pao. Chet Faker (Australia): The Melbourne singer-songwriter (right) has been generating lots of buzz since his debut EP this May and a lauded appearance at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Poubelle International (HK): This irreverent trio have earned a large and loyal following for their addictive, hip-shaking pop. 31G (HK): These rockers have made quite a name for themselves with their incendiary live shows. SUNDAY Tiga (Canada): This Montreal DJ won the 2007 Juno for dance recording of the year and is host of the BBC Radio show, My Name is Tiga . Brandt Brauer Frick (Germany): Billed as an acoustic techno project, the trio - Daniel Brandt, Jan Brauer and Paul Frick (below) - do not shy away from the experimental. The Yours (HK): Our own post-punk darlings will be dishing up their psychedelic guitar pop. DP (HK): Pack your earplugs. This rock/metal duo are one of the hardest rocking acts to appear at Clockenflap.
