It’s hard to imagine the entire continent of Asia has never hosted a Margaret Cho live show. That will change when the Korean-American takes the stage in Singapore and Hong Kong this March. Over the years, the unapologetically outspoken comic has amassed a large following, most notably with the disenfranchised folks for her willingness to speak on sensitive and taboo subjects from racism to police brutality to violence against women to the Asian experience. Essentially with Cho, no topic is off limits. And we all prefer her that way.

Dream of the Past: Ancient Chinese Court Dances
Hong Kong Dance Company partners with the Beijing Dance Academy in this re-creation of the most popular and exquisite court dances from China. Through archaeological archives the programme promises an authentic re-creation of the entire ritual, song and dance tradition of ancient court pieces from the third century BCE up to the Qing dynasty.

Art Central
In 2015, its inaugural year, the fair attracted more than 30,000 people and generated quite a buzz during Hong Kong Arts Month. This year it’s expected to be even bigger, with a selection of works representing roughly 100 galleries from 20 countries, while maintaining a dedication to the Asian art scene.

Priscilla Chan
