Charlie Chaplin’s Gold Rush
Before talkies took over Hollywood, silent films relied heavily on musical accompaniment, in the form of an orchestra or individual pianist. For this presentation, the Hong Kong Philharmonic pays tribute to the comedic genius by performing the live score for the 1925 classic featuring Chaplin’s signature character The Tramp.

Hong Kong boxing phenom Rex “The Wonder Kid” Tso Sing-yu puts his undefeated record on the line against Korean veteran Young Gil-bae in the super flyweight division. Meanwhile in the undercard recent Olympic gold medallist Ryota Murata takes on Brazilian fighter Felipe Santos Pedroso.
