From international stars to highly anticipated premieres by local talent, Hong Kong’s diverse arts scene has plenty to offer in the second half of 2026. Here is our list of must-see cultural performances and events.

1. Dog Rising

“Mind-bending” and “hypnotic” are some of the words used to describe the work of Montreal-based polymath choreographer-musician-actor Clara Furey. As the grand finale of this year’s French May Arts Festival, her electrifying contemporary dance piece Dog Rising explores the mysterious connection between human bodies and the rhythms of nature.

The Hong Kong Sinfonietta will perform a showcase of unconventional classical instruments. Book-ended by two more traditional symphonies by Haydn and Beethoven, the main draw is the world premiere of Time (in-)Linear, an original concerto from Hong Kong composer Alice Yeung, featuring jazz pianist Daniel Chu and harmonica superstar Cy Leo as dual soloists.
