Hollywood veteran Martin Scorsese has told the South Korean director of Parasite , this year’s winner of the Oscar for best picture, that he is waiting to see his next film.

The comment appeared in a letter from the acclaimed director to Bong Joon-ho, who had paid tribute to Scorsese in his speech when accepting the Oscar for best director. The film also won Oscars for best international feature and best original screenplay.

“He told me to take [a] rest, but just a little bit and get back to work, as he is awaiting my next movie,” Bong said, describing the contents of the letter.
