The stars came out in force for the world premiere of Disney’s live action version of Mulan at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

Stealing the show, and looking like a real-life Disney princess, was the film’s Chinese-American star, Crystal Liu Yifei, who graced the red carpet in a golden gown with heart-shaped bust by designer Elie Saab.

Christina Aguilera, who performed the song Reflection, from the soundtrack of the original animated Mulan soundtrack released in 1999, also lit up the red carpet in a red and pink silk ensemble. Among those attending the premiere were Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Tzi Ma, and Jimmy Wong.

Directed by Niki Caro, the film, about the exploits of a fictional Chinese female warrior, was to have hit cinemas on March 27, but on March 12 its launch was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
