Review | Ooops! The Adventure Continues movie review: animated sequel to Noah Is Gone will please only the youngest of viewers
- This sequel to Ooops! Noah Is Gone, a garish 2015 cartoon about animals facing a Biblical flood and scrambling for Noah’s Ark, has some impressive moments
- But overall, the feature made by Moetion Films, an Irish animation outfit, proves a forgettable and one-note experience that adds nothing to the genre

2.5/5 stars
The sequel to Ooops! Noah Is Gone, a garish 2015 cartoon about animals facing a Biblical flood and scrambling for Noah’s Ark, Ooops! The Adventure Continues, also known as Ooops!2, is another quick-fire animation that is likely to please only the youngest of viewers.
The sequel reunites us with Dave and his offspring Finny, the last known examples of the Nestrians – brightly coloured creatures that emit blue gas from their rear ends. Also back are Hazel and her daughter Leah, foxlike beasts known as Grymps that are also on the endangered species list.
Dave and the others are still all at sea, along with a coterie of assembled creatures: giraffes, lions, tigers and even a hippo that frequently pops up late to ask, “What did I miss?”, a running gag of increasingly diminishing returns.
During a storm, Finny and Leah get knocked overboard and, together with their pink jellyfish friend Jelly, wind up on a desert island. Separated from the others, Finny gets rescued and discovers that this sandy paradise is populated by numerous Nestrians, led by grump matriarch Patch and the blue-toned Chief Clyde.
There isn’t exactly a lot of drama in Dave and Hazel’s search for their young’uns, with the Ark soon landing on the island – much to the displeasure of Patch, who doesn’t want her Nestrian nook invaded by others.
