- As well as the most tweeted about song, Butter was also No 1 on Billboard’s Songs of the Summer charts
- Wizkid’s Essence was the next most tweeted about release, followed by Lil Nas X’s Industry Baby
Twitter’s song of summer 2021 is officially BTS’ Butter, the American social media platform announced on September 1.
In general, BTS has been one of the most popular entities on Twitter for several years.
Along with Butter, Wizkid’s Essence, featuring Tems and a remix from Justin Bieber, was the next most tweeted about song, followed by Lil Nas X’s Industry Baby with Jack Harlow.
BTS has discussed high hopes for the song getting a Grammy nod.
