Hong Kong singer-actress Fiona Sit left some fans concerned after posting several pictures to social media showing a new look they said made her unrecognisable. The 40-year-old, who has appeared roles in films including 2 Young and Break Up Club , is known for keeping up a youthful appearance. After she posted the images on Instagram on Sunday they went viral online, but probably for the wrong reason. Fans shared their thoughts in the comments section, with many saying they felt she had made a drastic change to her looks. One Instagram user commented, “You look completely different, dressed like one of those mainland Chinese girls, don’t dress up like that”. Another commenter asked: “Where is Fiona?” In the pictures, the actress wears a long, patterned silver dress, apparently to emphasise her lanky frame. Her make-up highlights her big eyes and she wears berry red lipstick. Instagram users asked if filters had been applied to the images, if they had been Photoshopped or if Sit had had plastic surgery. On Monday, fans were relieved after Sit posted another series of images on Instagram. In the new pictures – which users said looked “normal” – the actress poses with a video recorder and shows off two black-and-white outfits. Fans returned to leaving positive comments and said that she was “recognisable” again, with one commenting: “Finally returned to your previous pretty self.” Another pointed out that she already looked beautiful “without Photoshop”. Her look in these pictures was much more familiar to fans. Sit recently released a solo single called Happy Journey and a collaboration with Hong Kong singer Juno Mak called Platform on the Moon.
