Nothing screams fashion more than baggy shorts and an oversized graphic T-shirt.
The actor has captured the admiration of the internet this year with his laid-back looks.
In one widely circulated photo, he was spotted in a striped pink polo shirt, white basketball shorts and a pair of beige Uggs while walking his dog with his two daughters. In another outing, he trudged around town with a coffee in hand, wearing a large blue Superman T-shirt and matching blue shorts.
Sandler appears to have stayed true to his personal style since his rise to fame in the 1990s, and his easy-going aesthetic seems to work for people in a post-quarantine world. Twitter users praised his relatable outfits as peak “American fashion”.
“I know this is old news but Googling ‘Adam Sandler fashion’ is immensely satisfying,” wrote Chris Stein, lead guitarist for the band Blondie, on Twitter.
“I would go to the [M]et [G]ala dressed as Adam Sandler with a bag of chips. That to me is true American fashion,” wrote another user.
Sandler also beat out US football quarterback Cam Newton, number three on the list, who went viral this year for an outfit that featured check trousers, a bow tie, a white jacket and one of his signature tall hats.
